Lehi, Utah Schools by Grade: Elementary, Junior High, and High School

Lehi is in Alpine School District right now and will be for the whole 2026-27 school year. Alpine is calling it Alpine's Final Year. On July 1, 2027 the district splits into three, and Lehi joins the new Aspen Peaks School District along with Alpine, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Highland and the Utah County portion of Draper. The other two new districts are Timpanogos, covering Lindon, Orem, Pleasant Grove and Vineyard, and Lake Mountain, covering Cedar Fort, Eagle Mountain, Fairfield and Saratoga Springs.

In plain terms, here is what that means for someone buying a house.

The schools do not move. The buildings, the teachers and the addresses are the same on July 2, 2027 as they were on June 30.

The district office and the school board change. Aspen Peaks has already elected its board and is building out its own departments.

Boundaries are genuinely unsettled. Aspen Peaks is running its own boundary review right now. Its board heard a boundary presentation on September 10, 2026 and ran a public feedback tool through October 1, 2026, and it has adopted nothing for 2027-28.

That last point is the one to act on. If a specific school is the reason you want a specific house, confirm the assignment with the district before you write an offer, and understand that the 2027-28 map is not written yet. Any site that tells you which Lehi school an address will feed in 2027 is guessing.

Twelve Alpine District elementary schools sit inside Lehi, all of them PK through 6.

Two boundary changes have landed in the last year, which is why an older map may not match what the district tells you. On December 9, 2025 the Alpine board voted unanimously to adjust boundaries among Lehi Elementary, North Point, River Rock and Snow Springs, effective for the 2026-27 school year, to relieve crowding at North Point and strengthen enrollment at River Rock and Snow Springs. On March 10, 2026 the board approved a second adjustment involving Dry Creek along with Harbor Point, Sage Hills, Saratoga Shores and Springside.

Junior High, Grades 7-9, and the Ninth Grade Question

Alpine School District runs K-6, then 7-9, then 10-12. If you are moving from a state where high school starts in ninth grade, this is the detail that surprises people: a Lehi ninth grader attends junior high alongside seventh and eighth graders, and starts high school in tenth grade. All three Lehi junior highs are 7-9 schools.

It also explains something odd you may run into in a state database. Skyridge High is officially listed as serving grades 9-12, but it does not actually run a freshman class. In 2024-25 it enrolled two ninth graders out of roughly 2,500 students. Both Lehi high schools function as 10-12 schools.

Lehi is one of the few cities in Utah County with two comprehensive high schools inside its own limits. Lehi High is the original, downtown near Old Town. Skyridge opened in the fall of 2016, built to absorb growth that Lehi High could no longer hold, and took about 2,350 students in its first year. Note the spelling. Skyridge is one word, and getting it wrong is a good way to tell how carefully a page was written.

What this page is not going to do is tell you which of the two your address feeds, and you should be wary of any page that does. Alpine School District does not publish a public address-lookup tool or an attendance-boundary map service the way some Utah districts do, and Aspen Peaks has not adopted boundaries for 2027-28. The honest answer is to ask the district for the current assignment, and to ask again before the 2027-28 year. Charter Schools in Lehi

Ascent Academies of Utah - Lehi, K-9, 2199 W 900 N

All three enroll through Utah’s open charter lottery rather than by address. One worth knowing about so you are not caught out: Elevated Charter School carries a Lehi address on Ashton Boulevard, but it is an online school run out of an office suite, not a neighborhood campus.

Private Schools in Lehi

Two private schools appear on the federal private-school register with Lehi addresses. Dancing Moose Montessori, Museum Campus serves PK through 2 at 2700 N Ashton Blvd, and New Hope Academy serves kindergarten through 11th grade at 1133 W 3200 N. That register is voluntary and runs about a year behind, so treat this as the two on the federal list rather than a guaranteed complete count.

How Lehi Schools Actually Test

Lehi’s schools test well on average, and the average hides a real spread. Utah’s statewide proficiency in 2025-26 was 45.4 percent in language arts and 42.5 percent in math. Against SchoolDigger’s ranking of 547 Utah elementary schools, Eaglecrest comes in 24th, Sego Lily 66th, Fox Hollow 80th and River Rock 95th. Skyridge High ranks 27th out of 139 Utah high schools. At the other end of the same city, Snow Springs, Meadow and Lehi Elementary sit closer to the middle of the state.

So the honest version is this. Most Lehi schools test above the Utah average and several are among the strongest in the state, but not every Lehi school is a top-twenty-percent school. If you see a page claiming the whole city averages into the top 20 percent, it has not checked. The real average across those twelve elementaries is closer to the top quarter.

Where the Schools Sit, and What That Tells You

There is a pattern worth knowing. West and north Lehi have the newest school buildings, because that is where the city has been growing, and most of those campuses have gone up in the last ten to fifteen years. Questions Parents Ask About Lehi Schools

What school district is Lehi in right now?

Alpine School District, through the end of the 2026-27 school year. Alpine is in its final year as a district.

What is the Aspen Peaks School District and when does it start?

It is one of three new districts replacing Alpine, created by Proposition 11 in November 2024. It officially opens July 1, 2027 and covers Alpine, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Highland, Lehi and the Utah County portion of Draper. The other two are Timpanogos and Lake Mountain.

Will my child change schools when the district changes?

Not because of the split by itself. The schools, the buildings and the staff stay where they are. What could change a child’s school is a boundary decision, and Aspen Peaks is working through boundaries for 2027-28 right now without having adopted any. That is a separate question from the split, and it is worth asking the district about directly.

Does my ninth grader go to junior high or high school in Lehi?

Junior high. Alpine runs K-6, 7-9 and 10-12, so ninth graders attend Lehi Junior High, Viewpoint Middle or Willowcreek Middle, and start high school in tenth grade. Families moving from states where high school begins in ninth grade are the ones this catches.

Which high school will my Lehi address feed, Skyridge or Lehi High?

It depends on the address, and there is no public tool that will tell you reliably. Alpine does not publish an address lookup or a boundary map service, and Aspen Peaks has not set 2027-28 boundaries. How many schools does Lehi have?

Seventeen Alpine District schools inside the city: twelve elementary schools, three junior highs and two high schools. On top of that there are three charter campuses that enroll by lottery and two private schools on the federal register.
